Enhanced performance as AIS class B+
The B600W Class B AIS incorporates the same SOTDMA technology found in Class A solutions. This self-organizing transmission technology allows the system to negotiate a regular transmission timeslot with other AIS units in range, facilitating more frequent and reliable position updates in high-traffic areas. The B600W transmits updates, based on vessel speed, up to once every five seconds; this provides up to six times the reporting frequency of standard Class B AIS.
Wireless and wired connectivity take your AIS beyond the bridge
Built-in powerful Wi-Fi connectivity enables your smartphone or tablet to become chart plotter on the go, giving you instant access to charts, AIS and other instrument data from anywhere on board. B600W can join an existing network as client mode, or establish direction connection as access point to up to 10 mobile devices. Industry-standard NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 and USB connectivity offers a wide range of integration options.
Multiplexing intelligence
B600W understands and translates a wide range of NMEA 2000 PGNs such as heading, speed, wind, depth, temperature etc and send them over Wi-Fi, USB and NMEA 0183. With the smart multiplexing function, instrument data along with AIS and GPS information can be displayed on navigation apps and PC programs.
Robustness for rough sea
B600W features enhanced housing with IPx7 waterproof and marine grade locking connectors. Its shock and temperature robustness are ideal to survive harsh marine environments.
microSD for datalogging and firmware upgrade
The transceiver has a waterproof slot to accommodate microSD card which can be used to record your voyage data or load a firmware file for firmware upgrade.
Powerful 72-channel GNSS receiver embedded
The AIS transceiver is equipped with 72-channel high speed GNSS receiver. It supports GPS and Galileo by default and optional BeiDou and GLONASS.
