A Company Retreat That Forged Team Spirit – AMEC’s 3-Day Eastern Taiwan Tour Blending Gourmet, Cultu General News2025-12-09

AMEC has successfully organized its annual retreat in Eastern Taiwan from December 6–8, 2025. Designed to showcase the region’s rich culinary heritage, breathtaking coastal scenery, and vibrant cultural sites, this curated journey invites participants to explore Taiwan’s eastern treasures in comfort and style.

Day 1: Coastal Wonders and Cultural Charm
The tour begins with a scenic train ride from Taipei to Yuli, followed by visits to Taitung’s largest fishing port—Chenggong Harbor—where guests can witness the lively tuna trade and harbor activity. Travelers will then explore the mystical Sanxiantai Scenic Area, famed for its eight-arch bridge and dramatic coastal rock formations. The day concludes with a visit to the Taitung Railway Art Village, a tranquil space blending architecture, nature, and art, before settling in at The GAYA Hotel.

Day 2: Nature Trails and Seaside Beauty
After breakfast, the whole team opts to hike Liyu Mountain, a serene hill in central Taitung offering panoramic views of Green Island and Lanyu. The journey continues to Xiaoyeliu Scenic Area, known for its unique coastal erosion formations and an 8-kilometer shoreline, and then to Library of Taitung University, which features a striking pyramid-shaped structure. The evening winds down with dinner and another restful night at The GAYA Hotel.

Day 3: Cycling, Farming, and Flavors
The final day begins with an electric bike ride through the lush Luye Valley, offering views of the Dulan Mountains and Taitung Plain. Our team members then visit Ayu Dragon Fruit Farm in Chishang for a hands-on fruit-picking and jam-making experience using the region’s signature dragon fruit. The tour wraps up with a taste of the famous Yuli stinky tofu—reputed to be Taiwan’s most pungent and delicious—before boarding the train back to Taipei.

Beyond the scenic highlights and culinary discoveries, the retreat served as a meaningful opportunity for AMEC colleagues to reconnect outside the workplace. Shared experiences—from cycling through lush valleys to crafting fruit jams—fostered a strong sense of team spirit. The relaxed pace and immersive setting allowed everyone to unwind from daily pressures, strengthening bonds and renewing energy for the year ahead.
