The CAMINO-101 Class B AIS from AMEC has awarded full type approval in the US, having received its Grant of Authorization certificate from the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) of Washington. This marks the completion of the final stage of the approval process and now means that the CAMINO-101 is approved as being suitable for the AIS carriage requirements of vessels sailing in US waters. 
　 
Moreover CAMINO-101 has also just been awarded a BSH certificate from last month. CAMINO-101 provides the same functions of CAMINO-201 except the display. The interface of NEMA 0183 and RS-232 enables mariners with integrated navigations, safety information and provides better mobility.
