The CAMINO-108 series represents our globally approved CSTDMA class B transceivers with the core of sophisticated software defined radio technology.
Its robust transmission and reception performance makes sure that you can see other vessels and be seen by them even in a busy sea area. The unleashed AIS performance is packed in a compact housing to make CAMINO-108 series the smallest AIS Class B of the world for easy and pleasant installation.
CAMINO-108 series works with GPS input from both NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 to back up your external GPS antenna. The “Dual GPS Backup” actively ensures the positioning and transmission of your AIS transponder.
The reliable Wi-Fi connectivity of CAMINO-108W transforms your smartphone or tablet device into portable chartplotter. The transceiver can be accessed by up to 10 mobile devices simultaneously as Access Point or join an existing network in Client Mode.
Camino-108 incorporates waterproof NMEA2000, NMEA0183 and USB port to enable simple integration with chart plotters, MAC and PC. Its built-in SD card slot makes storage of AIS data easier than ever. The AMEC AIS configuration tool enables an easy setup of vessel static data for Windows and Mac users and offers a variety of tools for diagnosis and installation troubleshooting.
The AIS transceiver is equipped with 72-channel high speed GNSS receiver. It supports GPS and Galileo by default and optional BeiDou and GLONASS.
