Plays Together Stays Together – our 2023 company outing to Green Island Exhibition & Events2023-06-20

This June, we decided to "off the island" for a 4-day trip to the Green Island which is about 21nm off the eastern coast of Taiwan. It's crucial for our team members to take a break in a fast-moving, high-pressure tech environment.

We kicked off the tour right away on the first day with a road trip to one of the prettiest beaches of Green Island, Tapaisha Beach! Here we were invited to a beach BBQ dinner so everyone can meet the new employees at the fast-growing company. After the feast, we had the chance to join an expedition to watch the nocturnal creatures including sika deers, coconut crabs and all kinds of insects.

Pack your snorkeling outfit! Green Island welcomed us on the 2nd day with its breathtaking coral reefs, tons of tropical fish, as well as other colorful sea creatures and that’s one of the main reasons why this little tropical paradise is a must-have spot for our tour. After the underwater adventure, our instructor led us to the Blue Cave where we were encouraged to jump into the azure cave waters and delighted the sight of hundreds of colorful tropical fish in the refreshing splash.

2 highlights on the 3rd day: Jhaorih Saltwater Hot Springs and a deep dive into the Kungkuan Village. Here we became serious hot spring enthusiasts as saltwater hot springs are very rare. Strolling around the old village to soak up the Austronesian culture melted away all the stress. After lunch, we said farewell to Green Island and headed back to Taitung where the luxurious Sheraton hotel and its dinner buffet were awaiting.

On the last day of our trip, we had the pleasure to explore the phenomenon views of Taroko Gorge. Here we walked along the gorge, in and out of tunnels, looking down at the spectacular river below. Even when all of us have been in Taroko before, we will never get tired of the rock scrambles, hiking trails, and beautiful vistas the gorge has to offer.

At the end of the tour, we all had fun. The more fun we have, the more we will look forward to going to work the next day. “When we bring our team into these different environments, it really forges a team spirit and gives us new perspectives to the projects we are working on. All of this quality time has created a huge boost in the morale of our company.” concludes Louis Wu, chairman of Alltek Marine.
