AMEC PASO-350 is an AIS repeater system with simplex repeating capability. It compiles all the requirements of international standards regarding AIS repeater. The main application of PASO-350 is to extend AIS coverage, or to overcome terrain obstacles blocking AIS radio propagation. Within the AIS service network, PASO-350, an AIS simplex repeater, is on the same layer as AIS base stations. There is direct access to the VHF/RF domain equipments for reception and transmission of AIS VDL messages.
PASO-350 also contains an intelligent software, AMEC Repeater Manager Program, which help user to manage transmissions of AIS message effectively. AMEC Repeater Manager can detect status of traffic loading by Marquee Message in real time. The software also allows user to filter the messages in order to receive the important message while the traffic is over loading. Aside from that, user can easily adjust the transmitting output power from 2W, 5W and 12.5W depends on the different AIS coverage requirement.
